Clutch Restaurant

We had a great time due to the Battle of the Sexes Game provided by David. Great Time! The food, I can't really say my chicken looked good but was undercooked. But I can tell you everyone at my table was going in on their dishes. But they didn't get what I got! Our waitress was the bomb. Don't know her name but very patient and kind. We were there at the open door call time. I would go back every 1st Sunday for the game. This one was special because my Saints beat the Falcons! Just a sign that I need to go back. Until next time!

Food was good but a little overpriced when considering ambiance. I had the Red Snapper, Brussels Sprouts, a cocktail, and Brownie a la Mode. There was automatic 20% gratituty. It took 40 minutes to order food. No bread was brought to the table and there were no options. My entree and side were good. The brownie a la mode took 20 minutes, and it was subpar, and the ice cream had ice chips in it. My friend liked the salmon entree, but not her cocktail (Game of Thrones).

R&B and Bingo are an undefeated combination for me. Checked out Clutch for their R&B Bingo Brunch. I would definitely come back. I don’t suggest ordering the mimosa. Not worth the price. Unless they offer unlimited mimosas. Free Parking The place was pretty empty. I was able to sit at the bar. Service was good. Food - Pork Chops, Eggs and Grits. My Eggs were really salty but they took them back and remade them. I judge brunch by their grits and I liked the grits. The taste was good. Didn’t need salt. Good consistency. Drinks - Mango, Strawberry Mimosa. Just wasn’t happy about the price ($14). I would recommend not drinking or getting something else. It’s plenty other places in ATL where you can get bottomless for the price I paid. Automatic Gratuity (20%) DJ - Enjoyed the music.

Upon arrival they wanted to place us at a high top table seating because it was stated that when you make reservations then those are the seats you get. We asked for additional seating and we could only sit at a booth because no one else was at the restaurant yet. We paid $45 for a bottle of wine that is typically about $10-$12 in the store. Also, the food was okay. The chicken was seasoned well but the waffle tasted flavorless. The service was super slow and I eventually had to go find the waitress to get our ticket. Also, someone came to take our picture with all the plates on the table which was kind of awkward. Maybe we just came on the wrong day. I will say the waitress was actually nice.

Ok so this place was a mixed bag. Let’s start from the beginning. When you pull up it’s automatically valet not sure why. The restaurant is very easy to find right off Buford near the Pink Pony. It’s also in front of an extended stay which had a lot going on as well so maybe the valet is to make people feel like the parking is more of a safe choice but I did not see security just valet 🤷🏾‍♀️ not saying they don’t have parking security just did not see them. Of course valet is extra so we chose to park at a near by park and nature trail and walk that a bit then walk to Clutch from there. I would high recommend the trail if you’re on a date and looking for something romantic to do before. When we came in they sat us automatically we were pretty close to the stage which I liked because April and the band were basically the whole experience! APRIL WAS GREAT Y’ALL! The band was a bit loud but I mean it’s a live band in a restaurant so that was expected. She went through a few classic cover songs and talked to the crowd the whole time. Honestly without the band it would have been nearly as enjoyable. Even though we were sat immediately and our server came to introduce herself quickly she left the table and didn’t come back for about 20 mins. When she came back we put in our drink orders. The drinks took about another 20 mins so that’s about 40 minutes y’all just on drinks. The drinks were ok not too strong but not watered down. Server took about another 20 mins to come back for our orders. I got the Salmon slider burgers they were good but the sauce was too sweet for me. Another person in my party got wings and felt the sauce was too sweet on the wings as well. Honestly overall the food and flavor were still good and everything was fresh even though we waited a good full forty mins from ordering til when they actually gave us the food. They did not give us an itemized receipt and I didn’t see if gratuity was already included but from just doing the math myself the bill was definitely higher than it seemed that it should’ve been based off what we ordered. All in all I would go back for the live band experience. I really enjoyed that aspect in combination with the atmosphere, the food was ok a bit overpriced if you ask me but whatever, the band was everything though. That’s the main reason I would suggest going it was a mixed crowd but mostly black people so it was definitely a community affair which I enjoyed as well.

So the vibes was cool and nice. You have like an hour and 30 if I’m not mistaken to be seated/eat or whatever it is. But must say I was highly disappointed in my food. I had the shrimp and grits and when I say it was liquidly. Very nasty and horrible and then you can’t have it removed from your bill. The dish that it comes on is not deep at all. Maybe a centimeter deep. Very disappointed that I paid $25 for something I didn’t even eat nor enjoy! Then you have to pay for parking which is ridiculous!

The food was overall a 4/5 u had chicken and waffles. Drinks 2/5. The drinks were actually more than the menu says the waitress said the hostess should have told us at the bar. The self parking is the same price of valet $10. They have their own parking so I’m not sure why they are charging anyway. The atmosphere is amazing though.
